Suderamani, AMS for short, and also known as 'Lubba' (lub as in hub) referring to his sherwani covered girth (he was circumferentially challenged in today's parlance). He had switched from teaching Tamil to Mathematics. AMS taught me in 1950 and 52, with Sahayam as an interlude in 51. His replacement in Tamil was Mr. Swamidasan, nicknamed 'Kopi'.
